Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to cultivate readiness skills. With the Abeka curriculum, children learn:
- To recognize letters and sounds
- Recognize numbers and counting
- Shapes, colors, and patterns
- Increase in vocabulary
- Develop social skills and friendships
Environment
UCA believes that every child is created by an awesome God and is designed with a purpose. This is the motivation in providing an environment that stimulates spiritual, academic, social, and interpersonal development and growth.
Activities
- Daily activities include circle time, Bible story time, and learning centers.
- Learning centers focus on phonics, reading, and math, through a variety of activities, games, and interactive play.
- Children enjoy playing on the beautiful playground or in the full- size gym.
- Children join the elementary school for chapel each week.
- The preschool hosts children programs in which friends and family are invited to enjoy a presentation performed by the preschool students.Â
