Dr. David Breslin
Dr. David Breslin serves as Interim Administrator for the 2026–2027 school year. He holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Ohio Wesleyan University, an Ed.M. in Learning and Teaching from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Education Theory and Practice from the University of Georgia. With extensive experience in Christian education, teaching, and school leadership, Dr. Breslin has served at Culpeper Christian School, Liberty University, Regents School of Charlottesville, and Morae Classical Schools. He is passionate about supporting faculty, partnering with families, and helping students grow academically and spiritually.

1st Grade TeacherSusan Miller
Mrs. Susan Miller serves as the Third Grade teacher at United Christian Academy. After initially pursuing a degree in Communication Disorders, the Lord led her to teaching through a small Christian mission school, where she discovered her calling in the classroom. Mrs. Miller is grateful to be part of the UCA community, where faculty and staff share the common purpose of teaching and serving Christ. She enjoys helping students grow academically and spiritually while fostering a love for learning. Her favorite Bible verses are Hebrews 11:1 and 1 Thessalonians 4:11.

Jill Garth
Mrs. Jill Garth serves as UCA's Admissions Director and Preschool Director. She brings over a decade of experience in Christian early childhood education, having served as the director and lead K4 teacher at Good Hope Church Preschool, as well as seven years as an Extension Educator with Virginia Tech. Mrs. Garth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bridgewater College and a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University. She and her husband, Ashby, have two children who attend UCA and are active members of Good Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Garth is passionate about partnering with families and providing a Christ-centered foundation for every student.

Administrative AssistantAutumn Shifflett
Mrs. Autumn Shifflett serves as the Administrative Assistant at United Christian Academy. She and her husband, Dylan, have two sons, Easton and Cole, who have attended UCA since preschool. Their family attends Nortonsville Church of God and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting and camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In her role, Mrs. Shifflett oversees school communications, assists families, supports daily office operations, and works alongside faculty and staff to help ensure the school runs smoothly while providing excellent service to the UCA community.

K4 TeacherLilly Jenkins
Mrs. Lilly Jenkins has faithfully served the Lord through her ministry at United Christian Academy for many years and currently teaches K4. She is dedicated to providing a loving, Christ-centered foundation for her students during their first years of school. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Jenkins enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and sharing the Gospel with others. She attends Wolftown Pentecostal Church and considers it a privilege to partner with families in the Christian education of their children.

K4 TeacherAngela Putnam
Mrs. Angela Putnam teaches K4 at United Christian Academy. She graduated from Kings College in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is a certified Paralegal. Mrs. Putnam has several years of experience working with children in both preschool and elementary education, including teaching 3rd grade at UCA. She and her husband, Ray, are retired military and originally from North Carolina. They have one son, Tanner. In her free time, Mrs. Putnam enjoys crafting, photography, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Mrs. Amber McDaniel serves as the K2/K3 teacher at United Christian Academy. She has been a part of the UCA family for several years and is grateful for God's leading to Christian education. Mrs. McDaniel enjoys helping young learners grow academically, socially, and spiritually while creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom environment. She values beginning each day with prayer and integrating a biblical worldview into every aspect of learning. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31.

Mrs. Lindsay Mullinax serves as the K2/K3 Teacher Assistant at United Christian Academy. After returning to the Charlottesville area with her family following her husband's military retirement, she began serving as a substitute teacher at UCA and quickly discovered a love for working with preschool students. Mrs. O'Neill and her husband, Adam, have five children, three of whom currently attend UCA. Their family attends Albemarle Baptist Church. She is thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside the K2/K3 team and support students during these important early years of learning and growth. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23:6.

Mrs. Kathryn Redka serves as the First Grade teacher at United Christian Academy. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College in 2025 and completed her student teaching in a first-grade classroom at Pensacola Christian Academy. During the 2025–2026 school year, she served as a substitute teacher for grades 1–3 and 7th grade and as a second-grade teacher assistant. Mrs. Redka enjoys spending time with her family and doing crafts. She is excited to partner with UCA families and help students grow academically, spiritually, and socially in a Christ-centered classroom. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:24.

3rd Grade TeacherNicholas Bajis
5th Grade TeacherMr. Nicholas Bajis serves as the Fifth Grade teacher at United Christian Academy. A U.S. Marine veteran, he holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Before joining UCA, Mr. Bajis spent 12 years teaching in public schools, with the majority of his experience in fifth grade.
Mr. Bajis attends Legacy Church and is actively involved in several Bible study groups. He is passionate about living out his faith each day and is excited to invest in the lives of his students and their families while helping them grow academically and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Bajis enjoys camping—especially along rivers—off-roading in his Jeep, and grilling great food. His favorite Bible verses are Proverbs 3:5–6.

Mrs. Brooke Plummer serves as the K2/K3 Teacher Assistant at United Christian Academy. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from Lynchburg College and a master's degree in Special Education. Before joining the UCA staff, Mrs. Plummer taught third and fourth grade for 12 years and faithfully served as a substitute teacher at UCA for the past two years. She and her husband, Ryan, have two daughters, Leighton and Hayden, and attend The Point Church. Mrs. Plummer is grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside her daughter at UCA and looks forward to helping provide a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment for our youngest students. Her favorite Bible verse is John 14:27.

Reta Kennon
2nd Grade TeacherMrs. Reta Kennon serves as the Second Grade teacher at United Christian Academy. She has faithfully served the UCA community for over 19 years and has also held the role of Elementary Assistant Principal. In addition to the classroom, Mrs. Kennon has coached basketball and volleyball, investing in students both academically and athletically. She and her husband, Leo, have been married for over 40 years and are the proud parents of four children, all of whom graduated from United Christian Academy and Liberty University. They attend Legacy Church and are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the UCA community.

4th Grade TeacherMrs. Amy Ryan serves as the Fourth Grade teacher at United Christian Academy after teaching Third Grade during the previous school year. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Christian Education and a Master's degree in K–5 Education from Lee University. Mrs. Ryan and her husband, Chris, who serves as pastor of Daystar Gordonsville Church of God, are grateful to be back home in Virginia after many years of ministry in Tennessee.
